Friday Sendoff: Charity success!

charity sewing event montreal

Last week we hosted our first charity event and we were overwhelmed by the amount of people that stopped by to pitch in and help sew the onesie that PK Langshaw had designed.

We managed to put together 29 onesies (though not *finish* them quite yet) and many of you stopped in with little parcels filled with handsewing goodies for the older women at St. Jude’s Orphanage.

Big shout out to all of you who became a part of our little production line (the chaos that it was was glorious?) and a huge thanks to Cody (PK’s daughter) for bringing the idea and project to us in the first place!

We also raised $490 in cash/online donations!! Completely Amazing!

Here is how the money is being spent:

- hosting for the new website currently being developed for the orphanage

- a pedal sewing machine (that can run without electricity)

- HIV testing kits

- and the rest is being spent on a few handmade goods & handsewing materials that we have ordered wholesale from our supplier (some of the goods are pictured here)

Have a great weekend… some of us might be going on holiday and we might be really excited about that.
