Friday Sendoff: Footwear

I dream of new summer shoes every year. And it’s rare that I ever act on those impulses, mainly a) because my choices aren’t very practical and b) because I just don’t ever get around to shopping anymore!

Since I’ve got holes in the soles of my sailing shoes and I can’t seem to locate my birks (I hear you cheering, Suzanne- birkenstock hater!). Anyways, all this to say that I have no other options. This summer is the shoe summer.

I find all these can be worn with a variety of outfits and apart from the Toms Ballet Flat, can easily be transitioned into Fall with some tights or fun colored socks.

{les Marais Open Oxford$110 usd; Kork Ease Blythe $155 usd ; Toms Ballet Flats $90, available at Lola & Emily on St-Laurent}

I can’t wait for the weather to turn and for it finally be fun footwear season! Have a great long weekend guys! May there be Kim Crawford for one (being me) and Kim Crawford for all!

    Love these! I”m pondering some variant of the saddle shoe but that is wearable in summer.. (also, i dislike Toms but those are actually cute…still wouldn’t pat $90 bucks for them)

    Toms ballet flats was one of my purchases on Saturday! (I like the ones you posted though, mine are just plain beige). Shoe shopping is the best, most satisfying shopping… Plus, you can be having a ‘fat day’ and still have a good shopping day when you find yourself a perfect pair of shoes(ssss). And, you can try them on with a baby attached to you too! :)
