In the spirit of welcoming new faces, we’re updating our About Us Section:
We (officially) introduce Mili, our local shopkeep!
I have lived in: Croatia and Germany (but too young to remember Germany).
Book(s) on my nightstand right now: no nightstand for the moment. My books are all packed up for a big move that is approaching too fast! However I have recently read “The Art of Seeing” by Cammie McGovern and enjoyed it quite a bit.
My Imaginary Best Friends: Roseanne and Madam Bucket (that’s Madame “Boo-kay”).
Mortal Enemies: Strong winds, furniture corners and door knobs.
Overrated: Looks.
Guilty pleasure(s): Kpop and anything/everything cotton candy coloured!
If I go to hell, I’ll be forced to: Never listen to music ever again.
Right now I’m wearing: Red and black polka dot pyjamas.
Sew do’s & don’ts: Do take breaks. Don’t give up.
This designer would dress me for the Oscars: Betsy Johnson! Or Tsumori Chisato, or Oscar de la renta. But truly, my number one choice would definitely be Eikio Ishioka (if she were still with us).
This actor/actress would play me in my Hollywood movie: Christina Ricci.
When I grew up, I was going to be: A veterinarian, a sculptor, a figure skater, a teacher, a handywoman, and so many others. I did get one right however, in my 6th grade yearbook I wrote I was going to be a seamstress and it seems to hold true!
My friends call me: Mili, Mill, Mills
Favorite quote: ”Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness.” – Frank Tyger
I love: Nature, animals, castles, balloons, music, international films, European grocery stores, mint tea, Moroccan interiors and exteriors, silverware, bows, vintage florals, pastries, lace, tea cups, doilies, comics, drawing, painting… this list is getting long.
